Join us for a night of storytelling and an exhibition of a revolutionary card-based conversation system.

Presenter: Manuel (MJR) Montoya, Ph.D. is an Associate professor of international management (IM) at UNM’s Anderson School of Management. His work focuses on global political economy and how we make the planet a meaningful part of our social and economic realities. He has published on issues ranging from international trade to creative economy. He is UNM’s first Latinx Rhodes Scholar, a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and recipient of UNM’s Presidential Teaching Fellowship, UNM’s highest teaching honor. Dr. Montoya was born and raised in Mora, New Mexico.
Interactive Game: Terra Prime, created by Dr. Montoya, introduces cultural and philosophical concepts through a unique card deck designed to ignite conversation and add complexity and depth to everyday conversations. Dr. Montoya will facilitate a conversation using the card system with the entire group, all the while weaving a story about New Mexico and its connection to the world into the conversation.
