Getting to ABQ
Flying
The airport serving our conference is Albuquerque International Sunport, airport code: ABQ. ABQ is served by seven major commercial carriers: Alaska, Allegiant, American, Delta, JetBlue, Southwest and United and offers nonstop service to 24 US cities. The Albuquerque International Sunport is one of the country’s most culturally unique airports because of the architecture and 113-piece permanent art collection. The Sunport is only 4 miles from UNM and offers COVID-19 testing from 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM daily.
ABQ Sunport Flight Arrival/Departure
Santa Fe is 60 miles from Albuquerque. If you fly into Santa Fe you will need to rent a car, shuttles and/or train access to Albuquerque is very limited.

Train
Amtrak® services Albuquerque twice daily on the Southwest Chief® route. You can take in the grandeur of the American west on an adventure between Chicago and Los Angeles. Travel through eight states, past wheat fields and ranches, missions and pueblos, mountains and desert.
Bus
Albuquerque’s Greyhound station is our city’s hub, receiving 40 buses a day from all US major cities.
Driving
Conference REGISTRATION will be at Hokona Cellar. Instruct your Uber/Taxi driver to drop you off at 2500 Campus Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87106
General Campus Directions:
Albuquerque is situated at the intersection of I-25 and I-40 (The Big I).
When driving to Albuquerque via I-25:
- Take Exit 224B, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. / Central
- If Coming From Southbound I-25: Turn Left onto Dr. Martin Luther King Jr to travel east.
- If Coming From Northbound I-25: Turn Right onto Dr. Martin Luther King Jr to travel east.
- You will enter the UNM campus at Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and University.
- Turn Left onto Redondo Rd. Follow until you reach the stop sign at Las Lomas.
- Turn Right onto Las Lomas. This will turn into Campus Blvd. Continue on Campus Blvd. until you reach Redondo.
- Turn Right onto Redondo at the stop sign.
- Continue on Redondo – it will curve to the right.
- You will see the Visitor Parking Structure on your right hand side.
- Turn Right to enter Visitor Parking Structure.
When driving to Albuquerque via I-40:
- Take Exit 160, Carlisle
- If Coming From Eastbound I-40: Turn Right onto Carlisle to travel north.
- If Coming From Westbound I-40: Turn Left onto Carlisle to travel north.
- Continue on Carlisle until you reach Lomas.
- Turn Right onto Lomas.
- Enter the UNM campus by turning Left at the University Hospital / Lomas light.
- Turn Left onto Campus Blvd.
- Turn Right onto Redondo. Continue on Redondo – it will curve to the right.
- You will see the Visitor Parking Structure on your right hand side.
- Turn Right to enter Visitor Parking Structure.
